Other fun stuff to do with your Brittany

Outside of regular stuff like hunting and having a companion around the home, there are plenty of activities you can do that involve your Brittany. 

Here are a few ideas:… Brittanys love the water and a day at the lake or in your boat is great fun.  I have several clients who take their Brittany with them on the water.  Swimming with your Brittany and water retrieves are fun!

Frisbee dog activites are fun.  If your Brittany is a strong retriever, teach it frisbee tricks.  There are places on the web that describe how to do that!

Get a companion dog certificate from AKC.  It’s not hard to do and only requires basic obedience.  Just contact your local kennel club or go to akc.org and find your nearest contact.  Akc also has other fun activites such as agility, hunt tests, etc.

I take my Brittanys with me on road trips.  I have at least 2 that ride in the cab with me and EXPECT to be part of every outing :)  They are great company and they enjoy listening to Texas Country and Red Dirt country music…imagine the luck in finding Brittanys that love everything I love!  LOL

Have a polaris ranger or kawasaki mule or similar utility atv (or golf cart)?  Brittanys love the feel of wind in the hair!

Hiking is fun and a Brittany that has had obedience training is a fun companion when outdoors.  Camping with your Brittany in a tent is a lot of fun too especially if it is a cool night and you need a sleeping bag companion!

The sky is the limit as long as you keep your Brittany safe and don’t take a chance where your Brittany could be injured.
