Brittany Puppy firsts

Today was fun.  I always enjoy making folks happy by providing them with a warm, cuddly Brittany pup.  The Hall’s picked up their little female pup today and were simply overjoyed.  Preston’s wife Erin was like a kid in the candy store.  Those are awesome moments.

They have a lot of ‘firsts’ that will come fast as puppy rapidly grows up.

Puppy firsts are a terrific experience…  The first sight point, first time it ask to go potty outside, first time to sleep through the entire night without having to go oustide, first time to fall asleep in your arms, first time to find a wild game bird and point by scenting, first time to hold a steady point, first retrieve, first ‘successful hunt’ photo, first time a child sees the pup, first time a child and pup fall asleep in each others ’arms’, first time a hunting buddy brags on your dog, first time you’re told how beautiful your puppy is, so many firsts and so much joy.

I honestly can recall special puppy moments from every single Brittany I’ve ever owned.  It’s so much fun to grow up with them.  I feel like a child with each and every puppy.   

How about the first time you were bragging about your Brittany as if it were a child and caught yourself thinking that way?  Didn’t you smile or chuckle?  Come on, you know you did.
