Gunner has a disappointing start

Gunner ran well this a.m. in the hour stake Championship here in Kansas.  He was found standing point after being absent …for about 5 minutes but the bird flushed in close proximity to his nose and he couldn’t contain himself.  Oh well, that’s the way it goes sometimes.  He runs again in the 30 minute All-age stake either this afternoon or tomorrow.

 He had awesome bird work in Montana and his first trial back he acts like he’s 2 again.  He is 3 now so we are hoping he will show more maturity this year.  So much for a good start.

The grounds are beautiful and there are a lot of birds to be found.  I am looking forward to watching the Gun dogs, puppies and derbies this weekend.
